JONAS BERG

Photographer. Shoots cold water, long ridgelines and the ten minutes after sunset.

All of the journal

Jonas works almost entirely in the shoulder hours — before the light is good, and well after it has gone. He has spent the last eight years photographing the coastline between Ålesund and Bodø, and the high passes of the eastern Alps, mostly on foot.

For Ailleurs he shoots the places we write about and, more often, the ones we do not name. He believes a landscape photograph should make you want to stand there, not to post it.
